Quick and easy way to set Exchange 2007 and 2010 mailbox limits up from the defaults…

Open Exchange Management Shell

Set-TransportConfig -MaxReceiveSize 40MB -MaxSendSize 40MB

Set-ReceiveConnector “CONNECTOR NAME” -MaxMessageSize 40MB where “CONNECTOR NAME” = name of receive connector in Server Configuration, Hub Transport, Receive Connectors, ie: “Default SERVER” with quotes used.

Set-SendConnector “CONNECTOR NAME” -MaxMessageSize 40MB where “CONNECTOR NAME” = name of send connector in Organization Configuration, Hub Transport, Send Connectors, ie: “Windows SBS Internet Send SERVER” with quotes used.

Kudos go to http://exchangepedia.com/2007/09/exchange-server-2007-setting-message-size-limits.html for guiding me in the right direction. They have pictures too…
