Managing Event Alerts in Your Reports – An SBS Monitoring Feature Enhancement

Found on The Windows Server Essentials and Small Business Server Blog a very good and informative writeup on how to limit the errors displayed in the Server Event Logs sent out by SBS Monitoring Reporting Feature. It effectively improves the functionality of the reports for your and your clients.

One point that the article and the comments seemed to have missed, for me it wouldn’t run from a mapped drive. I copied the files to a local drive and the Powershell script ran just fine.

Also it’s a great example of code to learn from.

I highly recommend it for SBS 2008 and SBS 2011 report cleanups.
